And your 2012 presidential debate moderators are: PBS's Jim Lehrer, CNN's Candy Crowley, and CBS's Bob Schieffer.
Lehrer is up first and will host the debate on Oct. 3 from Denver. Crowley, who hosts CNN's State of the Union, follows a little less than two weeks later with the town-hall debate in Hempstead, N.Y., on Oct. 16. And Schieffer will carry the baton on the anchor leg in Boca Raton, Fla., on Oct. 22.
Martha Raddatz, ABC News' chief foreign correspondent, draws the VP honors and will moderate the debate between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan in Danville, Ky., on Oct. 11.
The moderator lineup was first reported by the Drudge Report earlier Monday, without link or attribution. Since then, the Commission on Presidential Debates has made the announcement official. Drudge, meanwhile, briefly added a link to the moderator headlines that took readers to ... a donation page for Mitt Romney's campaign. That link, however, was later dropped.
