Mitt Romney Enjoys Huge Lead Among Veterans
The former governor's edge among men is almost entirely explained by veterans.

U.S. military veterans overwhelmingly support Mitt Romney to take over as president from Barack Obama, according to a new Gallup poll released on Memorial Day. Among veterans, who make up around 13 percent of the adult population, Romney enjoys a 24-percentage-point lead over Obama, 58 percent to 34 percent, while Obama has a four-percentage-point lead among non-veterans.
Among the entire adult population, Obama and Romney are tied, while Romney has an eight-point lead among men and women give Obama a seven-point edge. The lead the presumptive Republican nominee has with men is almost entirely explained by servicemembers, points out Gallup, noting Romney enjoys a 28-point lead among male veterans.
