Guns N’ Roses members reunited for three songs Saturday night as the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Axl Rose wasn’t there. His absence was hardly a surprise considering he had publicly said he would not attend the ceremony because it “doesn’t appear to be somewhere I’m actually wanted or respected,” reports the Associated Press.
He wasn’t the only one who was absent from the annual party. Rod Stewart was supposed to reunite with the old crew from Faces but wasn’t able to make it because he was ill, reports USA Today. The Beastie Boys, which, is only the third hip hop act to make it to the Hall of Fame, also appeared minus one member, Adam “MCA” Yauch, who has been fighting cancer.
Also inducted this year were the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Scottish folk icon Donovan and late singer Laura Nyro.
