Jolie, Pitt Engagement Sparks Media Frenzy

The couple that has long said they were holding off walking down the aisle until there was marriage equality are one step closer to tying the knot. The Hollywood Reporter was the first to report that Angelina Jolie was spotted wearing an engagement ring. Brad Pitt’s manager later confirmed the engagement.

“It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy,” the manager said, adding there is no set date for the nuptials. Jewelry designer Robert Procop collaborated with Pitt on designing the diamond engagement ring for a year, reports CNN.

After years of living together and with six children, their wedding has been a source of wild speculation for tabloids throughout their relationship. Yet all the speculation of the past is nothing compared to what is expected now that the engagement is official, notes the Associated Press. “Entire magazine issues could be devoted to each star's wedding-day outfits and hairdos,” warns the AP.
