Thursday, Jan. 19: And then there were four.

Rick Perry will end his bid for the Republican presidential nomination today, GOP sources tell a number of media outlets. Politico reports now that Perry is out of the race, he will endorse Newt Gingrich.

The Texan, who at one time sat atop the GOP polls before a series of stumbles left him as a long-shot contender for the nomination, is set to make it official at a press conference later today. He joins Jon Huntsman as the second White House hopeful to end his campaign in between the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries.
