Elizabeth Warren has opened up a seven-point lead on Republican Sen. Scott Brown, according to a new poll out Thursday.

The University of Massachusetts at Lowell/Boston Herald poll shows Warren with a 49-42 lead over her Republican rival, when likely voters who say the are "leaning" toward one of the two candidates are included in the totals. Warren’s lead shrinks slightly when the leaners are removed from the equation, with the gap closing to 46-41, roughly the same as the poll’s margin of error (+/-5.3).

According to the Herald, the lead is Warren’s largest since she jumped into the race and represents a ten-point swing since late September when the same poll showed Brown up, 41-38.
