After what feels like an eternity, but is probably closer to like 50 years, Regis Philbin is retiring from talk television. The Live! With Regis and Kelly co-host’s last day is on November 18.

But, indubitably, the show must go on, and it looks as though Kelly Ripa's next co-host won't exactly be lacking in name recognition. USA Today reports that Jerry Seinfeld, a longtime friend of the show, will be guest co-hosting the temporarily-named Live! With Kelly for a three-episode run from beginning Nov. 23.

"Jerry is a great friend of ours, and a friend of Kelly's, and it doesn't hurt that he's an entertainment icon," said executive producer Michael Gelman. "It's a great way to kick off the new beginning of our show."

Among the guests stopping by to join Ripa and Seinfeld are actor Jason Segal, Miss Piggy, Kim Cattral and Howie Mandel.
