We know, we know, most of you don’t want to even hear Sarah Palin’s name until she’s made a formal decision on whether she’ll challenge for the Republican presidential nomination.
But that’s not going to put an end to ongoing game of “Will She or Won’t She?,” especially as Palin continues to poll remarkably well for a candidate who has given no concrete indication that she plans to run for president.*
RealClearPolitics, which has had a number of Palin scoops this summer, throws the latest round of fuel on the speculation fire. The political website reports that the GOP’s original Mama Grizzly has accepted an invitation to keynote a Tea Party rally in Iowa on Sept. 3.
The Labor Day weekend visit comes after the former Alaska governor suggested earlier this month that she would finally answer the question once and for all in August or September.
RealClearPolitics puts two and two together to conclude that “all signs now point to September as the month when Palin would throw her hat into the ring.”
We’ll believe it when we see it. But, like most of you, we’ll be paying attention, nonetheless.
*That said, Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s Hamlet routine also has him near the top of the GOP polls.
