Andre Agassi: I Used Crystal Meth
In his autobiography, Andre Agassi tells the story of how he took crystal meth in 1997 when he felt that he wasn't playing well and had doubts about marrying Brooke Shields. Although the Times story makes it sound like it was a one-time thing, People says he was a regular user. The first time he took crystal meth with his assistant, he regretted it, but that quickly passed. "I've never felt so alive, so hopeful—and I've never felt such energy," he writes. He once tested positive for the drug but told tennis officials that he had accidentally taken a spiked drink. The case ended up being thrown out. Agassi also says he always secretly hated tennis.
