"Wait till her fat keister is sitting at this desk": Bush Uncensored in New Book
Next week, former Bush speechwriter Matt Latimer will publish his memoir, Speech-Less: Tales of a White House Survivor, and if online excerpts are any indication, it's not going to be pretty. The book promises to air the off-the-record comments of former president George W. Bush, including thoughts on members of the current administration. "If bull- was currency, Joe Biden would be a billionaire," Bush once remarked. According to the book's Amazon description, Washington is featured as a "bizarro world in which the major players were in some ways mirror opposites of their public images." Latimer exposes Bush's opinions on Sarah Palin— What is she, the governor of Guam?"—and Barack Obama: "This is a dangerous world, and this cat [Obama] isn't remotely qualified to handle it. This guy has no clue, I promise you." Before the Democratic primaries, Bush also believed that current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would eventually take the presidency: "Wait till her fat keister is sitting at this desk," he told his staff. Excerpts of the book will be published in the October issue of GQ.
